A demographer statistically studies the population and may track trends such as birth/death rates, gender ratios, age ratios, living conditions, etc.

Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
To become a demographer, you must have a bachelor's degree in a social science field. An advanced degree in demography or another related field is suggested. You need to be comfortable with mathematics and statistics. Demographers are comfortable with mathematics and statistics. They also have good research and computer skills.
