Mathematics​

Mathematics is used by economists to quantify and communicate economic concepts. Students must understand mathematics in order to understand the underlying principles that govern economic theory, so additional learning in mathematics through the math minor will help students to be more successful in economics both during their schooling and after their graduation. A math minor is particularly helpful for students intending to pursue a graduate degree in economics or a related field.
