Funding Your Internship
The BYU Economics Department is dedicated to encouraging and supporting students in completing meaningful internship experiences during their undergraduate studies. To make this opportunity accessible to all economics majors, internship grants are available through generous donations from department alumni and university experiential learning funds. Students may apply for either source of internship funding, but are limited to receiving only one of the following department grants/scholarships each semester/term.
Economics Internship Grants
Awarded on a rolling basis, Economics Internship Grants have no set application deadline. However students are strongly encouraged to apply before the start of their internship. Applications will not be accepted or considered if submitted after, or nearing, the conclusion of an internship.
To be eligible you must:
-be a declared economics major
-have completed at least one 300-level economics course before the start of your internship
-have secured (or are currently applying for) an internship
