Experiential Learning Grant
In an effort to encourage more students to participate in experiential learning activities, BYU University Administration has provided funds to the Economics Department to assist students who would not be able to participate in these experiences without funding. This grant is to be used for field studies, studies abroad, mentored research, internships, conference presentations, etc.
Eligibility
(applicants must meet each of the below criteria to be considered for a grant)
1. You are a declared economics major.
2. You have successfully completed at least one on-campus economics course at BYU-Provo.
3. You have secured (or are currently applying for) an experience that will support your academic and career goals.
4. You have not received another grant from the Economics Department for the same semester or term that
you're applying for (i.e. Economics Internship Grant -or- Experiential Learning Grant).
Note: Students who qualify for a grant are eligible for only one grant per semester or term.
Application Deadlines
The Experiential Learning Grant is awarded on a rolling basis, without a set deadline. However, applications should be received before the start of the experience for which you are applying. Applications will not be considered for any experience already in the past. Apply as early in your Experiential Learning process as possible to secure funding.
