Create a LinkedIn Profile if you don't have one already. If you do have a profile, make sure it is up to date with your most recent job and internship experience. Connect with BYU Economics and join our LinkedIn Group, "BYU Economics Alumni."

Before you start applying for internships or jobs, make sure your resume clearly communicates your skills and experience.

1. Create your resume using the helpful tips on the University Career Services website.

2. Visit the Career Studio in 1134 WSC and have a trained University Career Services employee look over your resume. The Career Studio is open Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM. Walk-ins are welcome, there no need to schedule an appointment.

3. Get help in fine tuning and catering your resume to a specific industry from our Career Director, Amanda Peterson. Make an appointment here or email her at amanda_peterson@byu.edu.

Join clubs related to your career interests. The Economics Student Association (ESA) is sponsored by the Economics Department. Students who join ESA have opportunities to connect with fellow students, faculty, alumni, and visiting scholars.

The Marriott School of Business has several clubs that are focused on more specialized career tracks. These clubs are open to all majors and help students network and prepare for jobs in these career fields. Find them here.
