​The general manager is responsible for all areas of a business. A manager refers to any executive who has overall responsibility for managing both the revenue and cost elements of a company's income statement. These positions can include the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), president, or other executives.
